Statistics On Exports Of Bicycles And Electric Bicycles in Taiwan, China From January To October

According to statistics, from January to October 2021, Taiwanese bicycles (87120010) exported more than 1.66 million units, an increase of 20.35 percent over the same period last year in 2020. The export value reached more than 1.084 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 19.98 percent over the same period last year. The average export unit price was 651.94. US dollars, compared with 653.92 US dollars in the same period last year, a slight decrease of 0.3 percent ; exports of finished cars and spare parts totaled more than US3.083 billion, an increase of 41.12 percent compared with the same period last year.

From January to October, more than 826,000 electric assisted bicycles were exported, an increase of 33.95 percent over the previous year. The export value was more than US1.089 billion, an increase of 36.3 percent over the same period last year. The average export unit price was US1,317.92, an increase of 1.76 percent over the same period last year.

From January to October, 26.422 sets of finished vehicles were exported to Mainland China (excluding other bicycles with tariff number 871200900004), an increase of 27.83 percent over the same period last year, and the export value was more than US26.85 million, an increase of 29.21 percent ; the average unit price was US1,016.22, a slight increase 1.08 percent ; more than 191 million US dollars of spare parts were exported to mainland China, an increase of 66.23 percent .

As for the 199,297 cars imported from mainland China, an increase of 2.9 percent compared to the same period last year, the import value was more than US19.95 million, an increase of 22.35 percent , and the average unit price was US100.14, an increase of 18.9 percent ; the import of spare parts from mainland China was about US579 million. An increase of 57.2 percent .
